My Child

My Child

My child I still remember that day
When you went away
Before all the sadness and the sorrow
We never ever said our good-byes

My memories of you
Are forever etched in my heart
Now I stand-alone
They will serve me well
But we will never part

My child in our short time together
You taught us so much
The value of family and friends
Love, peace and eternal happiness

From the moment of your birth
You shared these precious lessons with us
I was extremely honored and blessed
To be your chosen student

My child our existence here
Is courtesy of borrowed time
Each day was ever so special
Just like a nursery rhyme

You gave me so much love and pleasure
Enough to fill my heart
And this is one of many reasons
Why we will never part

My child I know you are in Spirit
And around me right now
I can feel your energy once again
And it’s helping me to heal the pain

I’m glad to know that
You’ve peacefully passed over to the other side
And even happier still
That your grandfather is by your side

My child your arrival was full of light and our future ever so bright
I looked up to heaven for a sign, but in my heart I know you were fine
In my eyes you simply were the best, now your days are full of rest
Until we meet again my child I “LOVE  YOU” and God Bless
